Welcome to Gravitas Finance Solutions, a credit advisory, mortgage and finance broking business owned and operated by Peter Scarce.

Prior to commencing this business I was a long term employee of a major Australian Bank with roles ranging from credit analysis, mortgage lending, commercial property lending, business finance and management of key business banking relationships.

The formative years of my Banking and Finance career included positions in rural and provincial city locations throughout Victoria. Working within in these communities afforded me the opportunity to deal with people engaged in a diverse range of professions, businesses and industries.

Experience has cultivated expertise in dealing extensively with all types of finance.

  • Purchase of motor vehicles, plant and equipment for private and business purposes.
  • Purchase and refinance arrangements for all classes of property.

I believe that well structured finance arrangements generally require coupling with carefully tailored banking products.

Following my Banking and Finance career, I decided to deepen my involvement with the Melbourne property industry. I commenced employment as Financial Controller for a privately owned, boutique property company.  A successful, burgeoning business, the company was involved with industrial, commercial and residential construction, property development and investment.

Its client mix included local government, private investors and corporations. It also constructed for its own projects, for the purpose of long term property investment. Finance for land banking, construction and development, leasing and property investment were essential role responsibilities.

Over the course of my career, I have established an in depth knowledge of the Australian finance industry. Through experience, I have learned to understand the mindset of different borrower types. A natural progression was to become a finance intermediary with a mandate to balance borrower needs with the most appropriate financial products, customised to individual requirements.

During 2009, I completed a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management and commenced my financial services practice.

The cornerstone of my business is to understand client’s fundamental financial objectives by listening intently and maintaining a client centric focus. I provide considered credit advice, a range of Lender options accessed from our Panel and a detailed recommendation. The Finance Broking element is simply a function of these core services.

During time away from finance, I enjoy family outings, keeping active, travelling, following a wide range of sports and pursuing other interests.
